This photograph was taken at the Hunters Point Shipyard in San Francisco, a location home to a former naval shipyard, old industrial buildings, toxic cleanup sites, and a large number of artists’ studios.
It was around sunset time, and the moon had already risen. This scene with a pillar rising in front of the shipyard’s icon crane and pointing to the moon seemed like an ideal composition.
Perfect timing of the shot! Happy WW!
It looks like the pole is pointing straight up to the moon. I have never been to this area. Looks like a cool place for photos.
It looks so great, but also a little scary! Like it should be the front cover of a Stephen King book or something!
Nice effect in B&W!
this makes a great effect in black and white
Great shot, lack of primary colors is very effective!
great shot, love the black and white!
Great capture! I love the composition, and the use of black and white.
Very atmospheric! Eerie……and I love it Happy WW
Great shot – clouds look so gloomy!
I’ll bet if you climbed that pole, you could almost reach the moon!
Great monochrome tones.

I live very close to San Francisco. I so love the city. Great capture.
Have a terrific WW.
Great depth with the black and white.
Yes. Yes. Yes again. And thank you.
The picture looks like a scene from a movie. The sky/clouds look ominous. I like it. Nicely done.
I like the clouds and the way the pole points to the moon!!
