This photo was taken in the Mission District of San Francisco this past weekend, as part of specific photo project documenting a “micro-neighorbhood”. This one didn’t make the cut for the actual project submission, but I came back to it and experimented with color and desaturation effects. I like the way the effects focus on the various lines and geometric shapes.
I too like the strong lines in this one. Very urban.
interesting…makes you study it.
I love this shot! You always have such interesting Wordless shots!
I always feel skerred when I see razor wire!
Not very inviting for a “mission district”, lol !
So what is it? A sign? A piece of a railroad? I can’t figure it out!
That is an interesting picture. There must be something very valuable behind the fence for there to be barbed wire over the top. That sign is very strange. Lots of questions with this picture.
Geometric shapes galore. I bet I couldn’t count them all if I tried. So much visual interest in so many different areas of the photo. The cyclist on the sign, the circling razorwire, the diagonal lines in the fence and wires, and that mysterious sign, begging questions, as others have observed.
So city like. Great shot!
I played too. Mine are here and here.
It has a very intimidating look! Happy WW 🙂
What is that in the frame? Is it a bird?
That is one interesting sign!
Snowcatcher was correct on the sign. It is part of a motorcycle.
Very cool. I love revisiting photos that didn’t “make the cut” the first time around.
