There are moments when this is the only word I want to say.
This picture is also an exercise is balancing the colors and lines of the surroundings with the sign.
I think only a blind person can ignore that sign !
Great shot. I hope everyone heeds to that sign.
Thanks for visiting.
I played too. My entries are here and here.
My gramma lives in Wyoming and on her street there are “deer crossing” signs with a silhouette of a deer. One year during the Christmas holiday season, she put little round red stick-on reflectors on their noses so they all looked like Rudolph!
Sometimes a pause is just not enough.
It has to be a full stop.
A very successful exercise in color and lines. Love the perspective that makes the sign so large.
excellent. its something I sometimes have to tell myself. it’s so interesting and quite large against the bright blue sky. thanks for posting and stopping by my blog (my ww post is of a rainy day on the beach u should check it out!)
Happpy WW and thanks for all the comment luv!!
Hey! You did really good lining up all the lines too. I’m glad you mentioned that, and that I saw it. There’s a sort of poetry almost to how the sign and all the power lines line and square up. Nice, bright, sharp colors too. You did really good. Thank you for sharing it
Great shot. I am stopping right now!
Great use of color and perspective.
That’s funny. My kids FAVORITE word! Thanks for linking up!
Sam here from the blog hop! Stop! Sit! Stay! Me heares these words a lot!
I love the perspective and depth in this picture.
I agree with Indrani. Sometimes you have to STOP. Nice shot!
From your perspective, this sign looks bigger than usual and means business. I always like the industrial areas of SF where you shoot.
That is a word I want to use sometimes too. I see a little sticker on the sign. I wonder if it says ‘go’.
Exactly. We need to do that. And then start again with a spirit of wonder.
Yikes. With that arresting a sign I guess I’d better (stop)!
PS Time got away from me a bit this year but Summer Stock Sundays will be kicking off this weekend :).
My photography is available for purchase – visit Around the Island Photography and bring home something beautiful today!
An eye-stopping photo. Interesting that you were playing with the lines, as the first thing I visualized was a city necklace with a stop sign pendant, slowly being draped over the landscape.
good composition and balance. i like it. i need a “stop” sign (or picture of a stop sign) on my office door sometimes… haha.
