A view of the Golden Gate Bridge at its 75th anniversary, framed by the newly rebuild Doyle Drive / Presidio Parkway.

  2. Sukhmandir Kaur Says:

Excellent framing for viewing the gate.

  3. Cafe au lait Says:

    Beautiful capture!

I played too. Mine are here and here.

  4. Gattina Says:

Why the heck it’s called “golden” ? to me it’s a red bridge :) maybe the gold is gone with the economic crisis !

  5. Maria @ LSS Says:

Great view of the Golden Gate. Gattina, I agree with you. :)

    Thanks for the linky!

  6. Sue St Clair Says:

Love this shot! The bridge is golden in spirit! :) Happy WW

  7. Beth F Says:

Wow! Love this shot too. The framing of the bridge within bridge is brilliant. And the colors. Fantastic. (I was out of town last week, and never did get around to looking at everyone’s photos)

  8. Marg Says:

Wow, that is a terrific picture. Love the two bridges. Great picture.

  9. Louis la Vache Says:

    Linky worked for «Louis».
He thanks you for your visit. Please link your post this coming Sunday to «Louis’» Sunday Bridges meme! Great shot!

  10. Carol Says:

    What a neat perspective.

  11. KatzTales Says:

Why is the Golden Gate painted red? Like the perspective though. And the linky seems to be working great.

  12. CatSynth Says:

The Golden Gate bridge has always been painted in International Orange, a dark orange color. The name “Golden Gate” derives from the location rather than the bridge itself.

  13. Daisy the Curly Cat Says:

I think the Golden Gate bridge is so pretty!

  14. meowmeowmans Says:

Wow, GREAT framing! This is a wonderful capture!

  15. Sandy Carlson (USA) Says:

That’s an extraordinary view of an incredible bridge!

  16. CatSynth Says:

That beam in the middle and the surrounding orange fence (at the bottom of the picture) mark the Presidio Pet Cemetery. You can read about it here.

  17. Snowcatcher Says:

I, too, am a fan of the framing on this one. How cool that you were able to frame it with a bridge with similar coloring. I also love seeing the foothills in the background. That’s not as widely a publicized view as the typical shots.

  18. Snowcatcher Says:

Well, darn, it appears too late to add a comment to your Presidio Pet Cemetery post. That was truly appropriate for Memorial Day, and it made me think of some of cats from the past. I truly enjoyed that post.

  19. Louis la Vache Says:

«Louis» took the liberty of linking this fine post to Sunday Bridges

  20. AVCr8teur Says:

I have never seen it from this point of view. Nice framing. It almost looks like you have two views of the bridge in one picture.
