Sticker on display at SF Open Studios this year. I wore one in support as I went to artist studios I have known for years that are closing soon. The rate of displacement for artists and arts institutions in San Francisco is reaching epidemic proportions, and something needs to be done about it. A couple of the propositions in today’s election will be a start, but just a start with what is as much a cultural problem as economic.
I don’t even know what to say. The loss of the arts in our schools and communities is terrible.
