Bucky and Modular

Bucky poses handsomely next to an impressive modular system. We see many familiar modules, including Mr. Grassi, the Rossum Panharmonium, Erica Synths, Mordax DATA, and more. Bucky is certainly going to have some fun exploring these modules.

Are we doing cats and synths, is that a thing here? Let’s go!
Meet Buckminster aka “Bucky”!
He also has a sister who I’ll introduce soon.

“Cats and synths” will always be a thing for us on every social-media platform, and we look forward to meeting Bucky’s feline sister.

Baba O’Riley Modular synth cover (with cat)

From Planter Music on YouTube, seen on matrixsynth.

“Maybe I’ll go back and figure out what the second synth is doing but what a classic. I used the ALM ASQ-1 for the main synth arpeggio and then the bass notes. The metropolix is doing the secondary synth part and then the squid Salmple for the drums.”

Wait for the cat to make an appearance about midway through the video 😸

Tweek and Satie, Modified Toy Piano, Modular

We’ve seen Tweek and Satie before on CatSynth, but I think this is the first time we have seen them together. Tweek is the tabby on the left and Satie is the gray on the right. Between them is a modified toy piano with springs and piezo microphone. The springs and the chamber of the toy piano make for some great resonance. And it is a purrfect input source for the modular system.

From Antoine Marroncles via Facebook. You can see Satie’s previous posts and Tweek’s previous posts via their links.

Snowy and Modular

Snowy has found a nice place to nap atop this impressive modular system. In addition to the TipTop Audio case, we see offerings from many module-makers: Music Thing Modular, Dreadbox, Qu-Bit, 4ms, Toppobrillo, Shakmat, WMD, Westlicht, and more.

From Exit Chamber on Twitter.

Really want to make some bleeps and bloops but don’t have the heart to move this sleepy fluffball.

We at CatSynth can sympathize.

Sascha at Band Practice (Roland, E-MU, Modular)

Our pal Sascha is back; it looks like he snuck in during band practice at Space Kitty Studios. We see the familiar Roland TR-909 and TR-8s, the colorful E-MU Proteus modules, and a bit of modular in the upper left corner. From Neil Parker of Space Kitty Studios via Facebook.
